PETALING JAYA, Selangor – Quayside Mall at twentyfive7 transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural festivities as it hosted the much-anticipated Cultural Quay Day: Enduring Legacy. From July 27 to 28, visitors immersed themselves in a rich tapestry of traditions, culinary delights and thrilling performances.
The event was officially launched by Azrul Shah Bin Mohamad, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor, during the Water Jet Lion Dance Performance, the first of its kind in a Malaysian shopping mall.

The event also served as the backdrop for the annual Acrobatic Lion Dance Championship, which Gamuda Land has hosted for the past eight years and has received tremendous public support.
"We have seen an increased interest and footfall over the years, signifying great interest in understanding the rich and vibrant heritage of the Chinese community in Malaysia. Through this, we aim to foster greater appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture among people of all backgrounds. Our goal is to create an inclusive event that brings together diverse communities, promotes cultural exchange, and highlights the importance of preserving and honouring cultural traditions," said Roger Ko, Gamuda Land’s General Manager of Mall Operations.
The weekend also featured a variety of activities catering to all ages and interests, including a Kids Lion Dance Competition and a 24 Festive Drums Competition. Art enthusiasts participated in Art & Craft Workshops, while guests feasted on culinary delights from the Cultural Food Street throughout the event. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a Cultural Colouring Contest and explore Malaysian cultural heritage through various exhibitions and displays.

Quayside Mall has hosted the Acrobatic Lion Dance Championship for the past eight years, fostering the preservation and honour of cultural traditions amongst people of all backgrounds.
